  • What is this Max Wedge Port intake?

This came on the Vitamin C when I bought it, and I was told it was a Mopar Performance.

Now that it is listed on eBay I've received a message saying that it isn't a Mopar Performance, but either Original or Allison's A&A Reproduction.

Does anyone know how to tell the difference between the three?

Is there no way to tell the difference between A&A and Original?

The A&A is very close, maybe side by side comparison with a measurement between carbs, maybe. The A&A is slightly faster than the orig. and there is a "special nhra stock" intake that is faster yet.

So all of the casting numbers will be same?

There's been some dispute on if the Mopar Performance is better than the A&A. More people have told me that the A&A is faster, but that Hughes link say MP is faster, unless its a typo.

I have ran all 3, original, MP, and A&A. A&A is fastest, next original, last the MP. Not a big spread maybe a tenth totat.

That's what Doug Duell had said, but that Hughes link claimed MP was faster.

Most all of the Mopar hoods I've looked under have an Indy Rat Roaster.

                        Should I assume an A&A?

absolutely, excellent intake. I've been 10 teens thru the mufflers with a mild 499 motor, 620 lift roller cam, could be in the nines with racier combo. Is racier a word??
