  • Helmet Prices and Quality

I see full helmets ranging from a $200 Summit house brand helmet to over $500. What is the benefit you get in return for the additional money? Is it worth it? Running an E/NSS car.

The nicest ones are Carbon Fiber and so they're stronger, lighter, and cooler. I'm a cheap bastard and didn't get one of them this time, but will next time. Since you're not going faster than 10-seconds, you're not required to go full face if you don't want.

My image posting solution was to go to Southern Star Hosting, to register the domain of www.OldHippiesPhotos.com for less than $10, and hosting for less than $5 a month. I then installed the Free Application Zen Photo with one click from my Control Panel. I have tens of thousands of my photo digitized, which in time I'll upload there to preserve from disaster, and access from anywhere. In the meantime it makes for a great place to host my forum photos - plus I can still install 24 more free applications on that site if I cared to.

To kinda close this out, I bought the Racequip full face helmet from Summit Racing. Cost about $200. The G Force it replaced was about that price range and I didn't feel and comfort issues with it and it meets the rules.
