the below are a couple of photos of Kracklin Jack after the wreck. Jack Nelson was selling the car (with trailer, truck, and golf cart) because he’s lost his job — I was potentially buying — and wanted one last bonding with the car he’d built ten years previously.
His first pass was a personal best for the 4-speed car — at 10.07.
The next pass had him get into his coolant and hit the right wall at over 120. It buckled the right front wheel (bending the K-Frame) and came back and pancaked against the wall again. The below photos really don’t show how bad the damage is. He hit so hard — that he ripped part of the seat anchors up and hurt his shoulders.
